In a unexpected partnership that defies conventional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of banned ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret group.

The adventure concentrates on "bizarre tests and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Changes

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Bonus Features

Players who finish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana together with numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This release also brings the game's third complimentary story content, titled "The Mystery."
